Typography

Design typographic images based on a

category.

Your design should reflect on your own interpretation of the words.

Choosing category C 'Known, Unknowns'

I looked in to conspiracy theories using the royal family are lizards as a stimulus for my final creations. I used Procreate to draw my merged image of the queen and digitally freehand drew the lettering for - "Lizzy".

Façade - Materiality &           potentiality

Working to create a visual narrative focusing on the relationship between materials and form, high contrast, light/dark, shadow/surface.

I created this body piece using white cartridge paper folded in to a 'chatterbox'

then stuck together to make one continuous shape that flows round the mannequin.

Imaginary  Space

To create an imaginary space I built a light box out of recycled cardboard for the structure which eye holes so you can look in, then cut out designs in to pages of an old book and layered them on top of each other to create a 3D illusion of two fantasy worlds when light is shined through the back - one full of fire and one full of clouds.

Sequential storytelling

From the list of ethical topics we were given I chose, love, sex and feminism because I feel like a lot of the time they go together.

I wanted my final images to communicate to an audience that although society is obsessed with seeing the female body as soon as it becomes a woman's choice to show it off she is called names and shamed for it. so you are looking at suggestively provocative images with abusive words and phrases on them and suddenly it becomes and aggressive image instead of a desirable one.

To create the image I cut out words from an old book and stuck them together then multiplied the design in procreate, and layered some watercolour artwork and merged it with the text.
